Borgo Casalini in Policoro is an ancient tiny hamlet located a few kilometers from the town.The Casalini hamlet is a symbol of the agrarian reform and rebirth of Policoro because it was built in the 1950s. Employees of the feudal estate of Baron Berlingieri of Crotone used to reside here.The village still retains its ancient paved streets and stone houses, typical of Lucanian rural architecture. In recent years, Borgo Casalini has undergone a major restoration and redevelopment that has recovered the old houses and transformed them into tourist residences, restaurants and stores.Today Borgo Casalini is a place of great charm and tourist interest, where it is possible to take walks through the alleys and discover local history and culture.The hamlet also houses a small church, dedicated to Our Lady of Loreto, which is an important place of worship for the local community.
