Top of the World
Built in the late 1980s and early 1990s, inaugurated on March 21, 1992, to fill the absence of religious buildings in an area of strong urban expansion in the municipality of Policoro. It has a reinforced concrete load-bearing structure with a single nave and laminated wood roofing.The bell tower stands on the right side of the facade with a circular-shaped base and ends in a square shape with the cross embedded in the walls.The single-nave church has reinforced concrete supporting structure and glulam roofing.This church is the largest of all the others in Policoro and can hold 650 people. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is celebrated in this church on the last Sunday in July.
