Iqbal Manzil, located in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan, is the birthplace of Dr. Muhammad Allama Iqbal, widely revered as one of the greatest Muslim poets and philosophers. This historic house, where Allama Iqbal was born on November 9, 1877, has been transformed into a museum that not only preserves but also celebrates his legacy.
The property was originally purchased in 1861 by Mohammad Rafique, who was Allama Iqbal’s great-grandfather. Originally a modest structure, Iqbal Manzil saw numerous expansions and renovations over the years by successive family members, which contributed to its current size and stature. After the death of Iqbal's father, Noor Muhammad, ownership of the house passed to Iqbal’s elder brother, Ata Mohammad. Eventually, Ata Mohammad's sons moved away to Karachi and Lahore, leaving the house in Sialkot.

The museum houses a collection of Iqbal's personal belongings, which provides insights into his life and the times in which he lived. Additionally, the museum boasts a library containing over 4000 books, offering scholars and literary enthusiasts a valuable resource for research and exploration of Iqbal’s philosophical and poetic contributions.
