Museum of Cinema of Rome

The Museum of Cinema in Rome was founded on the initiative of José Pantieri. Initially it was located in the former Modern Cinema in Piazza della Repubblica in Rome, then it was moved a few years later to its current location. Among the materials on display are:

- posters and movie posters, - cameras, - headlights, - magic lanterns, - costumes, - a hundred-year-old patent by Filoteo Alberini, - of Francesca Bertini and Lyda Borelli's clothes, - The film library consists of original films including one in which Trilussa appears and 5000 rare vintage films by Buster Keaton, - a photo library with two million photos of Charlie Chaplin spanning the 1850s and beyond. In addition, the museum consists of a Mack Sennet film and television library that publishes publications on cinema and entertainment, a video library, a newspaper library and a restoration laboratory for images.
