Museum of Torture

In this small museum there are torture instruments from all over Europe, some even dating back to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, or philological reconstructions from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of ancient and unobtainable originals. Machines that explain how far the human mind and its subtle perversion can go to devise systems designed to inflict torture. The collection includes: weapons, devices and instruments of torture and public humiliation, engravings, prints and paintings of the period. The collection is completed by images and explanatory cards.
