It is 130 years old and it continues to be the factory that produces the most famous candies in Sicily, the "Terranova" carob candies, sold in all tobacconists and pharmacies (because they are considered nutraceutical). A historical factory in continuous renewal that always adds new candies to its production: Bergamot, Cinnamon, Fruit mix, Acerola & Eucalyptus, Anise, Ginger, Green Coffee and Matcha Tea, Goji Berry, Turmeric Pomegranate and Ficondindia. Some new Terranova candies: Ginger, Crunchy Sesame and Coconut, Green Coffee and Matcha Tea Terranova candies have always been well known in Sicily, and after landing in the Italian market, they are now sold in some EU countries and in the USA. But perhaps few people know that the factory is in the heart of the historic center of Palermo, in the Ballarò market, where Antonio Terranova, known as the alchemist, invented carob candies in 1890.
