In Norma, a small village in the Lepini mountains, there is a chocolate factory that houses a real Chocolate Museum, the first in Italy, founded in 1995. The route of the museum winds through tastings, photos and old machinery. The aim of this museum is to let its visitors know the secret of real cacao, not to be confused with other foods with which the latter only shares the colour; from a historical approach, which, starting from the Mayan tradition, tries to understand how the role of chocolate has changed over the centuries and in contact with different civilizations and eras, we move on to a more technical one, in an attempt to show the various phases that lead from the plant to its processing until the real chocolate is reached, all through tasty settings. In the museum you will also find old advertising prints related to the sweet and old packages of chocolates and cakes, all strictly "marrone". In addition, for those interested, at the Bottega Antica Norba, you can buy at special prices, fantastic packages of chocolate worked in a thousand different ways. In short, a real delicacy to lick the whiskers.
